ABOUT US

Himalayan Music Academy (HALCA) is not just a place to learn—it’s a home for Nepali culture and community right here in Akron’s North Hill. With open arms, we welcome everyone, regardless of caste, religion, or background.

At HALCA, we teach the sounds of our roots and the rhythm of our hearts—guitar, drums, dance, madal, piano—and much more. We take pride in passing on the Nepali tradition of music and dance to the next generation. Located at 644 E Tallmadge Ave, Akron, OH, we are a family of learners, dreamers, and creators.

Every year, we gather for an annual picnic to celebrate our community, and our summer camp is filled with laughter, fun, and cultural bonding. No matter your age, from 5 to 75, Himalayan Music Academy welcomes you with open hearts.
