Welcome to the Himalayan Arts Language and Cultural  Academy (HALCA) established in 2014.The Himalayan Arts Language and Cultural Academy (HALCA) is a cultural institution located in Akron, Ohio, founded by Puspa Gajmer, CEO and Music Director. HALCA stands as a testament to the power of cultural preservation, education, and community empowerment, with a focus on celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of the Nepali people. HALCA’s mission is rooted in the preservation and promotion of Nepali cultural heritage, coupled with a dedication to empowering immigrants and refugees in their new home. The academy envisions itself as a platform that bridges cultures and builds communities, fostering a sense of inclusivity and unity.

The HMA has become the platform through which we can nurture our children to flourish in our Nepali arts and traditions. It has also become a way to connect to the greater Akron community. We offer lessons in Nepali language, Reiki, meditation, dance, and music to all, free to those in need.
