HALCA offers personalized piano lessons for children (ages 4.5 and up) and adults, covering a variety of styles from contemporary to classical music. Our experienced teachers integrate favorite songs into lessons, emphasizing sight-reading, technique, and theory, accommodating learners with or without a piano at home, fostering a love for piano playing.

Drum

HALCA offers personalized drum lessons for all ages, focusing on fundamental beats, variations, syncopation, reading drum music, and playing with other instruments, ensuring a fun and comprehensive learning experience tailored to each student's goals and learning style. fLUTE (bASURI)

The bansuri is a traverse flute made from single hollow shaft of bamboo with six to seven finger holes. It is among the most ancient musical instruments in Nepal and is typically used in folk songs. Since time ancient times, this instrument has been using by shepherds in the villages and hills of Nepal. We have experienced teacher who teaches Basuri of age of 10 and above of any cultures. We teach Nepali song and how we can write its notation, etc.

Tabla/Madal/Naal

HALCA offers beginner and advance tabla courses focusing on Hindustani classical music, covering tabla fundamentals such as instrument anatomy, sitting posture, hand positioning, and basic strokes and bols (syllables) like Dha, Dhin, Na, Tirakita. By course completion, students will be adept in executing different tabla strokes and recognizing corresponding sounds, as well as proficient in playing bols in phrases or theka. Additionally, our teaching methods cater to students interested in learning Madal and Naal drums, emphasizing practical and theoretical aspects while celebrating cultural diversity.

Ukulele Lessons

HMA now offers Ukulele lessons, providing beginners with transformative courses to enhance technique, confidence, and understanding of music, covering tuning, holding, strumming, essential chords, versatile strumming patterns, and learning four memorable songs.

vocal

We offer voice lessons for ages 5 and up. Our vocal coaches primarily focus on popular music. If you have always wanted to be a classical singer, then we have the right voice teachers for you. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more.

Yoga and Meditation

The place to start. Beginner level yoga, NO yoga experience needed. Introduces the basic elements of yoga- breathing, movement, mindfulness, relaxation. May be done on a mat or in a chair.

Violin/Viola

At HALCA, we offer violin and viola lessons catering to all music styles, with instructors adept at teaching by ear or reading music, from classical to fiddle. Our welcoming environment, suitable for students as young as 5, provides personalized guidance in selecting the appropriate instrument size and incorporates favorite songs into lessons.
